SPRi-Biochip functionalized with maleimide groups
CIm surface chemistry is suitable for immobilizing molecules with SH groups. In this configuration the coupling function is a maleimide group to create a stable covalent thioether bond.
This 2D surface chemistry is recommended for the immobilization of peptides, proteins, antibodies, polymers and small molecules and can be a good alternative for oligonucleotides and nucleic acids.
