Maintenance and replacement:
- Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the O-Ring P8 for signs of wear, such as cracks, flattening, or loss of elasticity. Any of these signs could indicate that the O-ring is no longer able to create an effective seal. Replace the O-ring if it shows any signs of wear, such as cracks, cuts, or flattening, as these will prevent it from creating a proper seal.
- Check for Contamination: Inspect the O-ring for any signs of contamination by dust, oil, or other residues. Contaminants can compromise the O-ring's ability to seal properly.
- Loss of Elasticity: If the O-ring has become brittle or has lost its elasticity, it will not be able to form a tight seal and should be replaced.
- Persistent Leaks: If the instrument shows signs of persistent leaks or pressure instability despite cleaning and maintenance, the O-ring may be worn out and require replacement.
