External Probes
Various external immersion and touch probes are available to add to the MacroRAM.
External probes can be easily connected to the MacroRAM for measurements outside of the sample compartment to accommodate larger or irregularly shaped samples.
RPB at-line fiber optic Raman probe for use at 785nm excitation with 7.5mm working distance. Includes:
- Anodized aluminum housing, 4.2" x 1.5" x 0.5" (107 x 38 x 12.7 mm), with 1.5" (3.8mm) long non-immersible stainless-steel probe tip.
- Patented micro-optics for beam steering and filtering of the laser line and fiber optic background features (OD 6 at the excitation wavelength).
- Spectral range 200 - 3900cm -1 Stokes**
- 1.5 meters of polymer-encased fiber optic cable, 105µm excitation fiber with FC/PC connector; 200µm collection fiber with FC/PC connector.
- Manual safety shutter to block laser output.
Maintenance and replacement:
- Check the probe for any visible damage, such as cracks, scratches, or dirt on the optical elements.
- Inspect the fiber connections for signs of wear or damage.
- Ensure that the protective housing is intact and secure.
- Check the alignment of the optical elements and adjust if necessary to maintain optimal performance.
