Oil Mist Separator
Oil mist separator for pump exhaust (2 required; 1 per pump).
Maintenance and replacement:
- Visual Check: Inspect the oil mist separator regularly for signs of wear, clogging, or damage. Look for oil residues around the separator, which can indicate leaks or failures. Replace the oil mist separator if it shows significant signs of wear, clogging, or if the filter elements are saturated with oil.
- External Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the separator with a clean, lint-free cloth to remove dust and oil residues.
- Operational Check: Monitor the pressure and flow characteristics of the vacuum system. An increase in backpressure or a drop in performance can indicate a clogged separator. Replace if there is a noticeable drop in vacuum performance that cleaning cannot resolve.
