Packing gasket
Maintenance and replacement:
- Visual Checks: Periodically inspect the packing gasket for signs of wear, such as cracks, hardening, or deformation. Replace the gasket immediately if there are visible signs of wear, such as cracking, flattening, or if the gasket has become brittle.
- Leak Detection: Check for any signs of leaks around the areas where the gasket is installed. Even small leaks can lead to inaccurate sulfur readings and contamination of the sample chamber. If you notice any leakage, especially during or after the analysis, it’s a clear indication that the gasket needs to be replaced.
- Gentle Cleaning: Clean the gasket regularly to remove any residue that may have accumulated during the analysis.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong acids, alkalis, or abrasive materials that could degrade the gasket material.
