Avoid Stretching: When handling the O-ring, avoid excessive stretching or twisting, as this can cause permanent deformation or weaken the material.
Loss of Elasticity: If the O-ring has lost its elasticity and no longer springs back to its original shape after being compressed, it should be replaced. A hardened or brittle O-ring will not provide a proper seal.
