The 150W Xenon lamp used in the FluoroMax®-3/4 fluorometers is a critical component for providing a stable, high-intensity light source necessary for fluorescence measurements. Proper maintenance and timely replacement of this lamp are essential to ensure the consistent performance and reliability of the instrument.
Note: We advise you to change every 1500 hours, around two years of use.
Maintenance and replacement:
- Visual Checks: Periodically inspect the lamp for any signs of wear, such as discoloration, deposits on the bulb, or physical damage. These checks help identify potential issues before they impact performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the intensity and stability of the light output. Any significant decrease in light intensity or irregular fluctuations may indicate that the lamp requires maintenance or replacement.
- Clean the Housing: Regularly clean the lamp housing and optical components to remove dust and contaminants that can affect light output and measurement accuracy.
