Frequently Asked Questions Aqualog® & Aqualog®-Next Training
The HORIBA Aqualog® Training Course is a one-day theoretical and practical training designed to help existing Aqualog® and Aqualog®-Next users improve their knowledge of fluorescence measurements, EEM analysis and instrument operation.
The course is intended for existing HORIBA customers using an Aqualog® or Aqualog®-Next spectrofluorometer. Participants should have prior knowledge of fluorescence measurement techniques and equipment.
By attending the HORIBA Aqualog® and Aqualog®-Next Training Course, you will learn how to:
- Understand the optical configuration and operating principles of Aqualog® and Aqualog®-Next spectrofluorometers.
- Acquire and interpret Excitation-Emission Matrix (EEM) data.
- Understand the benefits of EEM analysis compared with conventional fluorescence spectral measurements.
- Explore A-TEEM™ applications and their analytical benefits.
- Understand the Inner Filter Effect (IFE).
- Use EzSpec software applications for fluorescence data acquisition and analysis.
- Configure analytical parameters and perform measurements on customer samples.
- Develop a structured approach to fluorescence method development and data interpretation.
Yes. The training combines theoretical presentations with hands-on exercises using Aqualog® and Aqualog®-Next instruments, including measurements on customer samples, parameter setup and data analysis.
EEM stands for Excitation-Emission Matrix and describes fluorescence measurements collected across excitation and emission wavelengths. A-TEEM™ combines absorbance, transmittance and fluorescence EEM acquisition, enabling IFE correction and more comprehensive sample characterization.
The HORIBA Aqualog® and Aqualog®-Next Training Course lasts one day from 9 am to 5.30 pm.
