Ilyes Bichari : Product Application Specialist
Ilyes Bichari serves as an applications engineer within the Applications Laboratory of the Instrument Business Unit at HORIBA France’s Palaiseau site. With a specialization in Raman spectroscopy and four years of experience in the field, he works extensively on complex advanced analytical applications across numerous industrial sectors.
His areas of expertise include Raman spectroscopy, chemometrics and PAT (Process Analytical Technology). Ilyes assists users of HORIBA Raman spectrometers in optimizing their analytical methods, processing spectral data, and effective utilization of related software solutions.
He leads several HORIBA Raman training courses designed for both beginners and advanced users:

After completing his bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Ilyes advanced his academic journey by pursuing a master’s degree in process optimization and chemometrics at the University of Science and Technology at the University of Western Brittany (UBO), within the Faculty of Science and Technology.
He has been working with HORIBA equipment for over a year and a half, applying his expertise to a variety of applications in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
His work involves handling a broad spectrum of sample types and contributing to projects spanning multiple sectors, including pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals and refining, semiconductors, environmental science, energy, materials, and biology.
Recognized for his engaging teaching methods, Ilyes conducts training sessions that are both interactive and accessible training sessions, where good humor and the sharing of experiences play a key role in fostering learning and interaction with participants.
