Presentation of Céline Eypert
Céline Eypert: Product application specialist
Céline Eypert is a product application specialist, focusing specifically on Raman spectroscopy, for the Instrument Business Unit. She works at the “Analytical Solution Plaza” application laboratory located at the HORIBA France site in Palaiseau.

Céline Eypert leads our training courses on Raman spectroscopy:
- Raman Microscopy Basic Level HORIBA Training
- Raman Multivariate Analysis HORIBA Training
- ParticleFinder and IDFinder Raman software HORIBA Training
The training courses taught by Céline are entirely focused on Raman spectroscopy and are designed for users of HORIBA Raman spectrometers, from beginner to advanced levels.
Each session combines essential theoretical reviews with hands-on practice using the instruments and software, to facilitate a gradual learning process and effective skill development.
To ensure practical, directly applicable learning, Céline employs a varied teaching approach that combines theoretical materials, reference samples, and practical case studies. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own samples so they can address their specific challenges tailored to their needs.
Céline joined HORIBA France in 2001 following an internship she completed during her studies. She began her career working in spectroscopic Ellipsometry before transitioning to Raman spectroscopy in 2018.
Céline studied at the University of Bourgogne, where she earned a DEUG in Science and a Master’s degree in Science and Technology, with a focus on Chemical Control and Analysis. She went on to earn a DESS, the equivalent today of a Master 2, in Instrumentation, Physicochemical Methods, and Analysis at the University of Orsay Paris Saclay. It was during her studies that Céline first worked with HORIBA instruments (Jobin Yvon at the time), either during a group project in a lab or during her internship on an ellipsometer. From Ellipsometry to Raman spectroscopy, no matter the technique she’s working on, the most important thing for Céline is to love what she does.
Throughout her career at HORIBA, Céline has developed expertise in a wide range of ellipsometry applications, particularly in the fields of semiconductors and polymers. She then expanded her experience in Raman spectroscopy, where she supports projects related to materials, energy, polymers (particularly microplastics and packaging analysis), mineralogy, and the pharmaceutical sector.
Thanks to this multidisciplinary experience, Céline has a solid mastery of materials characterization in the broadest sense and works on energy-related issues. She analyzes a wide variety of samples, both solid and liquids, such as paints for pigment identification and meteorites.
“Because successful training goes far beyond the transfer of knowledge, we place teaching and active listening at the heart of our approach. Our trainers create an atmosphere of constructive dialogue where expertise is shared in both directions. This close collaboration allows us to continually improve our practices while providing our clients with long-term support to help them achieve optimal mastery of their equipment.”
