How to extend the life of your HORIBA EMIA/EMGA gas analyzer and what mistakes to avoid

We know how important it is for you to work with an instrument that is in perfect condition, ensuring optimal analysis and research results with minimum disruption to your business. That's why we strongly recommend regular maintenance of your HORIBA EMIA/EMGA gas analyzer. To help you do this, we've identified the most common mistakes that you should avoid to prolong the life of your analyzer.

Firstly, the biggest mistake you should avoid is placing your instrument against a wall. In fact, we recommend that you leave a space behind your instrument to allow operators and outside parties, such as our service engineers, to pass behind it. As a rule, it's important to scrupulously respect the installation and operating conditions recommended by HORIBA.

Next, we recommend annual maintenance by our HORIBA service engineers. This involves one preventive maintenance visit per year. You have the option of booking maintenance only or taking out a maintenance contract that includes at least one preventive maintenance visit.

In addition, we advise you not to increase the number of operators working on your HORIBA gas analyzer, even if they are well trained and experienced. You can appoint a contact person to act as the liaison between your company, your needs and our service engineers.

Finally, to prolong the lifetime and ensure the best possible long-lasting performance of your HORIBA system, we strongly recommend that you use the consumables offered by HORIBA. Our consumables have been designed to maximize your instrument's performance without risk of deterioration. You can find our wide range of consumables and spare parts for your gas analyzer right here.

Repeated misuse of your HORIBA gas analyzer could result in premature failures, measurement errors, sample damage, production downtime or high repair costs.
