Note: We recommend changing your anode every year.

However, there are several ways to find out if you need to change your anode:

• You can test the anode diameter using the insert. If the anode is no longer in good condition, the insert will move.
• In addition, when the anode-cathode distance is greater than 150µm, there's a risk of plasma spreading (instabilities), so it's best to change it.
